• The first step of the journey is to get a ticket from your local airport to Bangkok,
Thailand (Code BKK).
• Second, you have to decide how to travel from Bangkok to Koh Samui -
the
Options are:
- domestic air-travel directly Bangkok - Koh Samui
(Bangkok Airways)
- domestic air-travel to Surat Thani
(Thai Int. Airways),
followed by bus/ferry transfer to Koh Samui.
- Night-train to Surat Thani (10 hours), followed by
bus/ferry transfer to Koh Samui
- Air-conditioned
bus from Bangkok to Koh Samui (12 hour)

A domestic ticket for Bangkok Airways from Bangkok to Koh Samui can be order at your local
travel agency. Look at the
time-table for available flights.

Important note:
- Take care on your baggage in Bangkok or you will arrive at Samui
without any! Your baggage will not be redirected automatically at Bangkok Airport, so you
have to pick it up, move to the domestic terminal and check-in your baggage again.

flooded / non-existent or to expensive and try to bring you to a hotel
where they get commissions from or just drop you somewhere if you not

• Tickets for a night-train can
be booked at Bangkok Airport, Bangkok Railway Station and many
travel agencies in Bangkok. So, you have to use a taxi to go.
This concerns all people, who like spend at least one night in
Bangkok. It is not sure to get a ticket for the same day! The
best information about these tickets you will get at the railway
station in Bangkok.

If you use the train, it stops at Surat Thani railway station. You then take
a bus to Samui (combi-tickets available). The ferry transfer is included because the
